hahahhaaa oh, @indo..
you're the king of the island..
and a mate you knew once..
and your dada's views..
but mate, you gotta get out more..

Hah, JP and Gussy could easily lead to the disappearance of the Libs. Gussy wrote a thesis on Game Theory, something our resident crusader Costco would know about. Nice piece on how Game Theory suggests a lurch to the right with this dynamic duo is not likely to work in their favour. No great loss.

@gs-co,
OK, I understand your point, but don't feel concern for me regarding knowing how to live happily mate.
I do, I've had a great life, some hard days like all of us do, but if you spent some time with me, or my brother, we are kings of fun. Always have been.
It's not my nature to dwell on the negative, but I was raised by people with different values to many I see on display today, particularly the boomer generation. I was raised by war generation, rations, volunteers, and before them dirt poor, depression generation, from Struggletown. Dirt floors, bread and dripping. We share, even if it means we go without so others can have. Drummed into us from birth.
But we always have fun, even if we've got nothing. Drummed in as well.
I just tend to empathise with those people that didn't have what I was lucky enough to be born into. That life dishes up shit to. The "broken birds" my mother used to call them. My brother is more like that than I am, a "collector of broken birds" my mum would always call him. He is still like that today, always has been that way, too much I tell him, it's to his own detriment in many cases but he is just built that way.
Nothing pisses me off more than greed, greed for greed's sake, those that have plenty, that have enough, but just want more, too many Australians like that today, not all, plenty aren't, but too many. We changed. In my experience most of them are still miserable bastards no matter how much they've got, I'm around a few of them today. They just don't understand.
Or leaders who put their hand up to lead, to take responsibility, particularly for those that life's cards don't come up winners, and don't through weakness or self enrichment or self aggrandisement. That's what motivated my little whinge today. The discarded Australians.
I haven't always lived up to those values, but the older I get I try harder and I feel guilt and remorse when I don't or haven't.
(I can also be a world class prick when I want to as well, so no tickets on myself there.)
I'm a bit older than you @gs-co and probably most of the guys here, and I just see an Australia at times that changed it's values somewhere along the way, that forgot about a lot of the things I used to admire about us and our society, and those that came before us, so I am quick to criticise, particularly weak leadership. Leadership that stands by and watches the divide between the haves and the nots grow without using their position to do something about it. Scared of it. That's not leadership to me, it's something else.
It helps me to sleep better when I can vent about it at times.
But fun, FMD, I made a career out of it.
And I've been a surfer for about 55 years now, my life has been one long day at the beach. Jumped on quite a few planes and in plenty of cars and just pissed off and went surfing, and like they tell me about you @gs-co, I was, and still am( probably not), a handsome devil, got the Kavorka, red hot rooter in my day, Still swatting them away, just so I can get a bit of peace and quiet. Plenty of that kind of fun in the resume, I got greedy myself there for sure.
So thanks for the concern @gs-co but it's probably a bit misplaced, but I take it onboard. And truth is I didn't like the movie version of that book much (and was trying to kanoodle the woman I was with that made me sit and watch it so didn't pay too much attention to it TBH). I've heard the book is much better.
And as for going over to paradise to surf with @Supa, don't worry, I'll get there. I forsee future posts from him on this website along the lines of "when is this prick gonna go home, he's snapped all my boards and drunk all my piss and keeps asking to lend more money to go visit the Bali brothels again", something like that!
Have a good night @gs-co and let's try to agree even when we don't. I learn stuff from you as well.

Hate on ? So you believe JP response was appropriate ? Shadow minister for indigenous affairs calling anyone a nobody isn’t really a good look. You believe JP is PM material ? I suppose having little Johnny as your hero , makes JP look really appealing . If JP becomes PM I will buy you a years subscription to SN & I will throw in a block of wax .

Here's a case in Point ...apologize for any puzzle...tbb has no control over that!
Crew know any neutral angle writes itself...& reads that way!
tbb is mid way continuing research on Albo's Crowd Control.
This is very much a Thing & tbb is fine-tuning the reasoning...
Here we see 1/2/3/4 famous Albo Booing / Heckling incidents
These 2 Live Election Headmaster Commands are Albo's control mechanisms to prevent anxiety attacks!
No! tbb is not trying to be funny & nor is Albo... this is his Live prescribed Misophonia coping tactic.
His DJ Routine & Punk Gigs are other known sure ways to cope...scientifically proven.
Nobody wants to revisit cranky cartoon Albo...Got it!
tbb is ruling in / out which incidents bug him the most or even typify his natural make up.
First big Surprise...It's not the Tennis / Xcert Boos! (He has zero Ego so he's least shocked about that!)
Most would find that weird huh...tbb does...most Pollies hang on Media Spin...not so Albo!
The illness can cope Ok with predicted Crowd response but PM loses his shit with random hecklers!
Oh Yeah! He does doesn't he...Big thanx for acknowledging tbb's in depth research...Yew!
Just made that sound rather convincing...Huh! (Cut the crap tbb...just get on with it....cry! cry!)
So our Oz PM was born without Ego but if you or anyone speaks out of turn...He halts proceedings!
Now that tbb has said such ...ya can once again all nod yer heads...Starting to see the pattern...Oh Yeah!
Pause! How's tbb going...are we hitting all the Points...
Ok! Happy for tbb to continue...repeating...tbb is not intending to ridicule yer Leader...Promise!
That's why tbb is back tracking to find out what illness & if he was born with such...
The more tbb researches the more emphatic the answer screams Yes!
We know how and why & can Lock it in...again...backed by largest / longest ongoing global studies!
This being passed down from Mother's Illness > resulting in Son's 'offset' lifelong condition.
Then ticking off Albo's very public rare unusual > Headmaster's turned up face > Halt proceeding traits.
Cranky Albo!

No! No! No! Please never second guess such...this is a lifelong Illness. (We'll explain later! Ok!)
Sure...tbb gets that ya wanna pull him up on this...Please Don't question this trait! (It's not healthy!)
tbb swears...Pauline & all them nut jobs that parody this illness...will in time live to regret it!
https://www.tiktok.com/@thedailyaus/video/7500211645218688274
And Albo will denounce with conviction every single lone wolf > King / Anzac Heckler
But is Never bothered by yer Stadium crowd booing...knock yerselves out!
tbb wishes to find this research into Albo's Alt Universe more rewarding but also share this life...
That's how come tbb is making inroads into this where others fly overhead...it's not a conspiracy!
tbb is working on a formula to iron this out & bring us up to date with Albo's future plans...
Yes! It is Albo's Legacy Project...just saying...all in good time...
We'll need to see where Albo shifts his players...as he'll need a new Advocate.
Possibly delay this for a bit or reveal more with new ALP cabinet!
But tbb feels he's breaking down the stigma...by sharing the bigger real time main game!
Hard to ignore Our PM mid flight declaring a Halt with a Stern Face...(Stop That!) Let's Rock on!
See how weird that is...and we all just live with this illness overlording proceedings >
Kinda like a secret taboo Covid Strain...we all know it's a thing but not why & who cares! No one Yet!
Now ain't that something...to personalize and hide a life long disability as a crowd control measure!
This guy knows a little bit more than he lets on...he also down plays his legacy to all but his devout!
Won't hurt to explore more research angles as it's a growing massive Life Changing Agenda.

"Jacinta Nampijinpa Price announces candidacy for deputy leader of Liberal Party"
https://www.news.com.au/finance/work/leaders/jacinta-nampijinpa-price-an...
This is the way i see it.
Realistically LNPs best chance of an election win is not the next election but the one after as the average time a party is in government is generally about 9 years.
If Sussen Ley becomes leader and loses next election (highly likely) it makes it very unlikely they would run a women again for who knows how long, which would not be good for Jacinta's hopes.
If they run Angus Taylor and lose next election(very likely) then they still can run a women like Jacinta after that, actually IMHO it would increase the chance's that they do.
So i hope Angus Taylor does get the Job and Jacinta as deputy, this would really give Jacinta some experience to build on.
Her wanting the deputy Job isn't just media rumour as she made an official statement, so its great to see that she has this ambition.
Although coming straight in and doing so would rattle a lot of feathers so might not happen.
BTW. I had a search on FB to see Senator Canavan followers views to his traitor calls, and the majority of his follower's dont agree with him, they are the Coalition after all.

^^ we are comedy gold aren’t we @info?
Care to explain how a senator can become PM, perhaps we know more than us plebs !

Middle Australia just voted overwhelming against the likes of Jacinta Price and Gina's values.
None of the rising independents are anything like Price they are moderates. The only group to back Price are Nat voters (Whites) they will never change, Indigenous including her own family members refuse to accept her and Gina's view of Australia for good reason.

(^ 54 bobble heads here for you @indo.. full deck..
I'll leave it to you to decide which 2 are the jokers..)

Some truely great people on that advisory board who are leading the fight against the dark side of the force - socialism - that is making significant inroads in Western civilisation and its institutions and culture.
It is a two-pronged attack by the dark side of socialism.
First, it is a culture war designed to decimate Western values and culture, particularly Christianity, freedom, cultural pluralism, and individual autonomy and responsibility, and replace these values with identity groups based on race/skin colour/gender/religion/etc who are supposedly structurally and institutionally oppressed and disadvantaged, and then consequent victim and entitlement and welfare mentality, in order to get the population dependent on the state for basic human needs as well as cultural authority.
The second prong of the dark side is globalism, being pushed particularly by the WEF and EU, which is a direct attack on democracy, individual freedom again, economic freedom, political pluralism, national sovereignty, and in general the decentralisation of political power across and within nation states.
The goal is a single global socialist dictatorship by unelected globalist "elites", what they are referring to as "stakeholder capitalism".
The EU/EC is having significant success with this agenda throughout Europe.
The Labor governments of the Commonwealth are all onboard with this agenda.
They have basically decimated the conservatives of the UK and Australia, and to a lessor extent Canada. They have infiltrated and gained control over all public institutions and media, including universities, regardless of the government of the day. The dark side of the force is currently winning, spectacularly.
The ARC is the main resistance trying to build momentum and fight back against it.

"The dark side of the force is currently winning, spectacularly."
lol - even Chatgpt knows gas-co's outrage is based upon delusion. If the Left is "woke," then the right is without question, a"wank".
"The claim that "socialism" is the "dark side of the force" is not only an oversimplification but also ignores the complexity of global and political dynamics. Socialism, in its modern form, primarily focuses on policies aimed at reducing inequality and promoting social welfare, not some grand conspiratorial plot to destroy Western civilization. The idea that movements for racial, gender, and religious equality are part of a “cultural war” to “decimate Western values” is misleading. Efforts to address systemic inequality are rooted in human rights and justice, not in undermining freedom, autonomy, or responsibility. Far from fostering victimhood or dependency, these movements aim to empower marginalized groups and strengthen societal cohesion.
The argument against globalism also misses the mark. Global collaboration, particularly through institutions like the EU and the WEF, is focused on tackling issues like climate change, economic inequality, and cross-border conflicts—issues that no single nation can solve alone. Far from an attack on democracy, these organizations often work within democratic frameworks to promote stability and cooperation.
Lastly, the claim that governments like those of the UK, Australia, and Canada have been "decimated" by socialism ignores the complex, ever-evolving political landscapes in these countries, where voters actively shape the direction of policy. The notion of a “global socialist dictatorship” is a far-reaching and exaggerated conspiracy, detached from the practical realities of global politics today."
This is the way.

Hahaha the bots in the comments went to script on that post, nearly all saying exactly the same thing. Please please please let these two parasites become the new liberal party leaders, that would cap off a great election .

my oath, the white-anting from those two would be subtle as a fart in a lift..

actually that's heavy. ChatGPT thinks socialism is desirable.

I wouldn't be concerned @gsco.. where last century's socialism was quite robust, today's socialism is designed to break after a few uses..

Good job, well done Angus!!

basesix wrote:I wouldn't be concerned @gsco.. where last century's socialism was quite robust, today's socialism is designed to break after a few uses..
What did the left/ socialism ever do for us?
Ah weekend's... 38 hour week, health care, free education........etc etc.
Bring back child labour I say!!
Get em into Gina's mines!

what's even heavier is ChatGPT is associating with socialism policies and objectives that are not socialist at all in the sense that they are just basic, desirable common sense things also discussed in say basic economic theory. So it's glorifying socialism by trying to say it's all about these desirable things, and thus "not socialism" is not concerned with these things. ChatGPT is both mixed up and fraudulent. It's basically engaging in deception in defence of "socialism" by claiming that it's something that it's not and presenting it in a fraudulently desirable light via stealing "lots of good, common sense stuff" and claiming it all as socialist.

chat GPT...
now that is funny
using it...
for that

oh, ok. nice one, cheers.

It's basically engaging in deception in defence of "socialism" by claiming that it's something that it's not and presenting it in a fraudulently desirable light via stealing "lots of good, common sense stuff" and claiming it all as socialist.
Could I have some olive oil with that word salad? Please.

Haha classic.
The ALP must be stoked how this is playing out.
Double down on the culture wars.
Good work Jacinta, well done!

Care to explain how a senator can become PM, perhaps we know more than us plebs !
We are talking at least two election cycles away, obviously she would be put in a safe LNP seat in house of representatives between then and now, and yes im aware of this and mentioned this the other day in post below. (although admittedly i did fuck up and wrote Senate instead of house of representatives)

that leadership position might not be as far away as some were suggesting...
wouldn't labor fucking hate that?
or a big gay tim and jp top of the ticket?
ip obsession trumped!
Im not sure exactly how it all works, would be interesting to hear from someone that knows the system better.
But yeah that's what i thought the start of long term preparation, wouldn't the next step be to put her in a safe LNP senate seat somewhere next election?
Then you would think get her ready for not next election but the one after, unless something drastically changes that would be the widow for a realistic change of government.
I think people like Guy or Supa etc are just kidding themselves if they think she wouldn't be a real threat and very popular with not only LNP voters but just swing voters and women.
As i showed the other week with a poll from after the voice era she is very popular i think it was only Wong and Lambie that came in higher.
She is also a very good public speaker her age profile by then would also be pretty good 49, good for younger voters old enough for older voters
First women PM voted in by the people first Aboriginal PM, LNP would love to claim these things.
Edit: the only problem i see with this, is Sussan Ley is expected to be LNP leader (she is way ahead on betting odds too), but they aren't going to run two women leaders after each other especially if Sussan doesn't go that well.

I don't understand the strategy to 'parachute an outside candidate into a safe seat'.
This approach has failed many times on both sides of the political spectrum.
Don't they have to earn the right to be there, and earn the trust of the electorate?

Yes the idea is they’re representing the electorate for which they sit, not use the electorate as a tool for their own ambitions. Not very democratic. But yeah western values and wotnot

What’s with the Jacinta obsession. ?

i think the electorate is meant to be flattered to have a high-profile donk representing them..? yeh, like you say, people are better than that now, and also realise a high-profile donk has no time for local issues (unless the issue is a potential headline.. I know the warrnambool area got a few controversial things magiked away with undefined moneys when premier Napthine was their lad on the corflutes)
Is it just me or does this feel like a presumptuous version of Cheryl Kernot's fail?

I get what you are saying and agree not ideal but im sure there has been times when it's been done successfully, in her case i would expect it would be done as NT is a strong Labor state.

haha, and a strong indigenous state.
maybe it's different on the island, but I've not met a single indigenous person from goolwa to portland - gunditjmara, buandig and ngarrindjeri - that don't dry retch when you mention JP.. none have heard of missy madison smirky... yet..
they are to busy doing real things locally to engage with aspiring national players.

2028. Who is Jacinta??
Might as well put this up in the politics subforum, to spare the front page. It's 18 months away or so, but here we go.
This is how Dutton wins:
