Vaccinate or not

I thought it was 2000 ;) jelly wink

My sister is an immunologist too. She's shifted her viewpoint significantly over the last few months as more studies come to light. Even above these posts there are links to 2 studies both published in the same journal one with nearly 9 million Italians followed and pointing out significant differences in neurological conditions post vaccine and one Australian study with 33 participants saying all is good and nothing to see. I've sent her many studies and links to get her view and she refutes lots but in recent times she's come around to the fact there's a possible problem. She won't get another vax herself either. I also have a mate who's a senior ED doctor in a major hospital and I've been querying him about how come I've had so many people around me either sucomb to heart issues or cancer in recent times and he's just suggested i'm unlucky. Maybe so but I put it to him that why isn't data being collected on the vax status of every patient? Easy to then work out if there's any change. He said it is being collected and my response to that is why isn't it publicly available? He couldn't answer that. Conspiracies arise when data us with held. If there's nothing in it then release the data. TBB has a good crack at data but its hard to find in Australia and NZ. But these studies are now coming out around the world and it certainly looks like something that needs more investigation

The data is all around us. All but a poopteenth had no negative affects at all.
That’s not to say some did not have bad outcomes.
It’s always been that way with vaccines as with bee stings, peanut butter etc etc.
I still think the reaction to Covid was absolute bullshit.

While he is mid age he is/was otherwise a very low risk for heart attack, non smoker, rarely drinks days of partying and drugs behind him, not at all overweight an otherwise fit and healthy guy, (no idea on related family medical history) Im sure he now has it's all monitored and doing what is needed, very responsible smart family man.
BTW. other comments saying it's misinformation is garbage, i was never saying his view is correct it's just his view on his own body.
And if any of us were in his situation and had the first vax with no issues, second vax with a bad reaction and then had a heart attack not long after i think we too would be thinking this seems like a bit of a coincidence.
Like you kinda said above in different words vaccines all come with a small risk like many things in life, for all we know he might have already had an issue arising like narrowing of arteries etc and the then the vaccine was that little thing that put that extra strain on his heart.
We will never know.
I got the first vax and boaster and have no regrets in doing so, although if covid blew up again and they started wanting us to take it again, id probably just skip it unless needed to get into Indo, its easy now to look back and say it was an over reaction etc, but i guess at the time we were dealing with so many unknown's.

Haha, fucking hell indo you've clearly gone to the LNP/ Sky News school of slimy language.
I was a little shocked at Alan Joyce (CEO Qantas) announcement that international travelers will be required to have a covid 19 vaccination in order to travel on Qantas flights . The government wanted to have mandatory vaccination but after the bumbling of its release ( it was painful to watch the delivery of that announcement ) they withdrew the mandatory part but it seems Qantas and other business may demand a vaccination in order to use their services. I’m not anti vaccine by any means I just don’t trust this government or a vaccine that has been rushed through. A jab followed by another jab followed by yearly jabs doesn’t sit well with me as I have never had a flu shot or the flu for more than 20 years. Plus I don’t want to give this shot to my healthy 4 year old daughter. She is up to date with all her vaccinations but this covid vaccine is new and not being around for decades like the others. Tuberculosis remains the number one as far diseases go and you don’t need proof of vaccination to travel so what is going on ?
