The weekend remained tiny to flat with no real swell seen across the coast. Today has remained the same but there is some swell on the way.

Best Days: Early Wednesday, Thursday afternoon and Friday morning at exposed spots

An acute W'ly swell was too acute to get into the South Arm over the weekend, maxing out at 1-1.5ft. Today the swell started out tiny, but a small increase has been seen this afternoon with strengthening onshore winds.

South Australian Forecast (issued Monday 6th January)

Best Days: Saturday on the Mid Coast

Recap

A moderate pulse of W/SW tending SW swell was seen over the weekend across the South Coast, but early W'ly winds swung onshore mid-morning. Sunday offered much better waves with offshore W/NW winds ahead of a mid-afternoon change.

Best Days: Wednesday-Friday east of Melbourne

Recap

The Surf Coast offered great waves over the weekend with the arrival of a new W/SW groundswell on Saturday under W/NW winds. The swell was a one day wonder though and dropped back into Sunday to a much smaller 2-3ft. Conditions were good all day though with a fresh NW tending W/NW breeze.

The Mornington Peninsula saw plenty of swell over the weekend but conditions were poor.

Best Days: Tuesday afternoon through Friday in protected spots, Saturday morning, Sunday morning

A small fun NE windswell pushed in Saturday morning as winds went S'ly leaving protected locations open to the north-east with good waves.

Into Sunday a small S'ly swell filled in across south facing beaches on the North Coast but with average S/SW winds.

A fresh pulse of S'ly windswell filled in Saturday afternoon in the wake of a change but conditions were average with a S'ly tending E'ly wind.

Yesterday started off tiny but a new swell should of filled in during the late afternoon and this has held well into this morning to 2-3ft across Clifton with a light offshore wind. The swell should be easing into the afternoon

The surf was small and average across the South Coast yesterday with an onshore wind while the Mid saw clean 0.5-1ft waves all day.

Yesterday started off small and clean around Torquay but average everywhere else. Conditions deteriorated into the afternoon as onshore winds freshened while a late kick in new W/SW swell was seen.

A tiny mix of average swells were seen yesterday across the coast, while today a new S'ly swell is filling in and should reach 2-3ft at south facing beaches during the middle of the day.

Light to moderate N-NE winds will freshen from the NE during the day keeping south facing beaches relatively clean.
