Jeez, it’s a tricky weekend to forecast for. The Forecaster Notes have a wide range of swell and winds to discuss.
What’s going to affect our surf much more prominently is a developing trough off the South Coast that’s expected to form a closed system during Thursday, possibly a Tasman Low (just an outside chance for an ECL now).
Less than ideal winds with a peak in S'ly groundswell tomorrow, cleaner and easing Friday with some fun E/NE swell to follow.
A large long-period SW groundswell is due tomorrow but winds will be average for Clifton, not that it will be handling the size. Better conditions as the swell eases into the weekend.
Make the most of tomorrow with smaller swells but generally favourable winds expected for the rest of the period.
Large powerful groundswell tomorrow, easing into Friday but with no quality surfing options. Improving conditions on the weekend as the swell continues to ease.
Large powerful long-period SW groundswell for tomorrow but with onshore winds, easing slowly Friday and further over the weekend as winds improve.
