Western Australia Surf Forecast by Craig Brokensha (issued Friday 22nd November)

Best Days: Saturday morning, Sunday morning Margs, Monday morning Margs, Tuesday morning Margs

Recap

Average waves across the South West with a sizey but onshore, easing swell, much better to the north with cleaner conditions and sets easing from 2-3ft.

Today the surf was a bit cleaner in the South West though still not great, better to the north and around 2ft on the sets. A new SW groundswell is due to fill in this afternoon, reaching 6-8ft in the South West, 2ft to occasionally 3ft in Mandurah and 2ft in Perth.

This weekend and next week (Nov 23 - 29)

This afternoon's increase in SW groundswell will ease off through tomorrow and clean up across the South West, though winds look more SE than E/SE.

Easing surf from the 6ft range across the South West swell magnets are due, 2ft in Mandurah and 1-2ft in Perth with better E/SE offshore winds.

Sunday will become smaller and with a better E/SE offshore for a period across the South West, opening up more exposed locations. Further north winds will be less ideal and S/SE.

A temporary low point in swell is expected on Monday morning, though with the odd small one on the South West magnets with a SE-E/SE offshore, while a new SW groundswell is due into the afternoon.

This swell isn't overly strong or sizey, with a tight fetch of W/SW gales currently being generated in our south-western swell window, weakening while projecting up towards the Bight tomorrow.

A slight kick to 4-5ft+ is expected on the South West magnets, 1ft to maybe 2ft in Mandurah and tiny to the north but with strong afternoon S-S/SW winds.

Tuesday looks much better with a straight E'ly offshore and easing surf from the 4ft range in the South West, tiny to the north.

Unfortunately there's nothing significant at all for the remained of the period and even next weekend at this stage. Therefore while conditions won't be perfect in the South West, make the most of the weekend's size. Have a great weekend!
