Get stuck into the current swell before it eases as the coming week is looking fairly average. There's a new groundswell on the cards for next week but it'll be very inconsistent.
There's nothing too significant on the cards for the coming week or two, but there are a couple of small windows to try and pick out of the forecast.
A very typical summer forecast with no considerable swells and average winds. Finding a window will be tricky so make the most of today.
I’m normally quite skeptical about swell potential from tropical cyclones, and prefer to downplay surf prospects unless there’s a lot of supporting evidence elsewhere. In the case of Severe TC Yasa, there are actually quite a few positives but also a few negatives. More in the Forecaster Notes.
Our current swell will fade tomorrow with some poor windswell for Sunday/Monday ahead of some inconsistent, but better E/NE groundswell from Severe Tropical Cyclone Yasa.

There are a few better windows of surf to work around with small pulses of W/SW swell for the period.
A so so weekend of waves, but better than the last two days across the South West, better early next week with a bigger mix of swells.
The surf outlook for the South Coast remains poor, though there's a window for the keen on the weekend. A new swell should provide some options across other regions next week.
