Finding a window of clean conditions with a bit of size will be tricky over the coming period but there's more opportunity through next week.
A strong high will move in following a trough and change this afternoon, bringing persistent onshore winds and average surf.

The weekend will have waves, albeit of low quality, as the trough stretches out and SE to E/SE winds feeding into the bottom of the trough are well aimed at NE Tasmania.

Trade flows across the South Coral and Northern Tasman Sea won’t be particularly strong this week but the broad scale coverage of winds and an uptick in wind strengths in more proximate areas of the fetch Tues/Wed will be enough to see a modest building trend into Wed and beyond.
