Fun waves across the South Coast beaches over the coming days. Increasing W/SW groundswell energy from late week and more so early next week.

While all of this is going on, a weak tropical low near Fiji this weekend will have travelled south, before developing into an impressive multi-centred low pressure system off the West Coast of New Zealand’s North Island by Monday.
Main synoptic feature for this weekend is a S’ly change that’ll cross the South Coast before dawn. Oh, and there's a big swell for the end of next week.
Get stuck into the current mix of swells before they fade as it'll be slow until some new swell builds mid-late next week.
