Southern Tasmania Surf Forecast by Craig Brokensha (issued Friday 22nd February)

Best Days: Sunday, Wednesday morning

Recap

Building surf through yesterday but super fun this morning with a mix of swells and offshore wind.

Today’s Forecaster Notes are brought to you by Rip Curl

This weekend and next week (Feb 23 - 28)

Today's good mix of W/SW and SE groundswell are due to ease tomorrow and winds are still due to be onshore with a S/SW change.

The swell from the front bringing this change has been downgraded slightly and as a result a new S'ly swell for Sunday is now only due to come in around 2ft or so, if not for the rare bigger one.

Winds look good with a N'ly offshore, freshening from the NE through the day as the swell eases.

From here there's nothing significant on the cards until the middle of next week when a small mid-period W/SW swell from a slow moving front south-west of WA right now might be seen.

We're looking at inconsistent 1-2ft sets max, but we'll review this Monday. Have a great weekend!
