Funky winds tomorrow, variable into Saturday and then returning to the SE-S/SE with good pulses of swell.
Winds will go a little funky over the coming forecast period but there are plenty of fun swells with power inbound.
So, the swell charts may look active - but with perhaps three or four surfable options between the Byron and Sunshine Coasts, there’s not a great deal to look forward to for most weekend warriors. More in the Forecaster Notes.

Cleaner conditions over the coming days with a couple of different S'ly swells, fading as some larger and more prolonged N/NE swell develops.
Easing mix of swells tomorrow, with a good new SW tending S/SW groundswell late week with workable winds. Surf fading through the weekend and very slow next week.
Clean easing waves tomorrow, onshore into Friday and Saturday. Stormy increase in large swells Sunday, with windows of cleaner conditions into next week as a secondary secondary large W/SW groundswell moves in.
Easing SE windswell over the coming days as winds slowly improve, with a new groundswell to end the week as well. Slow into the weekend.
