Today’s Forecaster Notes are brought to you by Rip Curl

This weekend and next week (Apr 27 – May 3)

Looking at the weekend and we've got our tricky S'ly swell pulses, with the best likely to fill in Sunday from S/SW gales at the base of the strong low moving across us.

Tomorrow the swell will be acute S'th and likely coming in at maybe 2-3ft across south magnets, tiny elsewhere, while Sunday's swell should provide better 3-4ft sets, easing through the day.

We'll likely see a drop in size out of the S'th from Monday to 2-3ft at south magnets with tiny to flat surf until later next week.

Looking at the winds, and south magnets should be great with a persistent W/NW breeze tomorrow, W/NW tending SW winds Sunday and then NW tending N/NE winds Monday.

Longer term the models are starting to converge regarding the developments of a deep Tasman Low forming off the southern NSW coast late next week. It's too early to nail down the specifics but we'll likely seeing building levels of S/SE-SE swell later next week and into the weekend, though with plenty of wind. More on this Monday. Have a great weekend!
