Small waves possible next week
Central QLD Forecaster Notes by Steve Shearer (updated on Wed Sep 24th)
This week and next week (Sep 24 -Oct 3)
Central QLD: Small waves possible next week
Ankle-knee high at best
Currently weak high pressure drifting at sub-tropical latitudes and only tiny surf in CQ.
That pattern extends over the weekend.
A new weak high drifts into the Northern Tasman late this week but we do see the development of a weak trough of low pressure in the Coral Sea next week.
E-E/NE winds feeding into the trough are weak, but well aimed for CQ and look to generate some small, just rideable surf from late Mon or Tues.
May just be strong enough to generate rideable surf
