Watch: Drew McPherson and Nathan Henshaw // A State of Play
Low key is what this is. For afternoon viewing, or maybe late night when you're relieved of duties and can take the time to match the pace of the storytelling, the tempo of the music.
The film follows Drew McPherson and Nathan Henshaw packing up the van for a camping and surfing trip. Drew flicks between mid-length and wishbone spray fish, piloting each with aplomb, and Henshaw, who you may know via his water photographry, body whomps like a seal.
Not much talking, in fact the whole thing is gently propelled by a great soundtrack from Mick Turner of the Dirty Three and Nick Bampton, who also scored another Needs film, Thank You Mother.

Cool! I liked that.... gave a sense of freedom.
that guy rode that single fin very nicely.
made me want to go surfing far more than watching French close-outs
Nice....
Perfect. You had me at the Dirty Three reference.
Could pick Mick Turner right away, too!
Very good stuff, two legends in and out of the water.
