Sunday on the Surf Coast - photos

The changing of seasons from winter to spring would usually signal a downturn in swell for Victoria. The Southern Ocean swell track begins moving south meaning swell-creating systems are more rare. Those changes haven't kicked in just yet, as evidenced by the weekend just gone. A mid-range south-west swell met a clean nor-wester delivering great waves through the back half of Sunday.

Photographer Judy Scanlon walked the heath-lined tracks between Bells and Winki snapping the best of the arvo.

Hey Stu sorry- just have to vent somewhere--the girls over at Surfer mag just blocked me again. Seems Etnies 'paid' for a feature article on one of their sponsored surfers which the 'managing editor' (Ashton) at Surfer mag wrote. Because it seemed it was a 'paid' article made to look like an 'editorial'--it did not sit well with me. When I straight forward made a second comment and asked the editor if this was a 'paid for article'--he blocked me. So much for free speech in the surf world I guess...
