The beautiful chaos of surfing Pipeline - video
Pipeline is the Melbourne Cricket Ground, centre court at Wimbledon, and Yankee Stadium of surfing. Surfers grow up on the myths of the hallowed reef break, and journalists write biblical lines in its honour while young surfers read them more fastidiously than their school books.
In this video by Red Bull, some of surfing’s finest discuss their first impressions of the legendary wave, lessons learned from how their idols surfed it, and the beautiful chaos of surfing Pipeline.

Spot on Stu, I surfed it really good once in the mid 80's and it was like being in the goal square at the G in an AFL game hoping that the long bomb coming in bounces off the pack and into your arms, got one wave, intense place, great experience.
