Recently the organisers of the London Surf / Film Festival tasked a selection of the UK's leading surf creatives to reinterpret and redesign poster art for iconic surf films.

The resulting Surf Cinema Re-Vision collection draws on the work of a hugely talented and exciting pool of UK artists who have a strong connection to the sea including: Richard Bull, Rich Braham, Nick Radford/Frootful, Keiron Lewis/Seamouse, Chris Dorning/Moot, Droog79, Wilma Johnson, Victoria Jones and David Beckitt.

The festival organisers went on to say each poster is a "unique piece that captures the essence of the movie and stirs the imagination." However, it's up to the viewer to decide if the reinterpretation is an impovement on the original.

You just can't trust those Poms. Thank our lord Albe they didn't touch Morning of the Earth.

Crystal Voyager poster is OK.

Looking at these make me realise there's just not that much iconic modern art in surfing. The Endless Summer is 45 years old, Morning of the Earth is 40. Then what? Litmus in 1994 or whatever. The only real iconic stuff seems to be logos and stuff.
