To be completely honest, we're not exactly sure what we're looking at. These images have been circulating the internet for the last few days, incorrectly titled Frozen Tidal Wave a very unlikely event to be captured in a moment of time in a block of ice.

Unfortunately, despite lengthy investigative work, we've been unable to track down the photographers's details, so we don't know if they were taken in the Arctic or the Antarctic. The size and shape suggests some sort of glacial structure, but it's too hard to be sure without any more information.

Either way, they're certainly some of the most spectacular images to land in the Swellnet office for quite some time.
