Cut back like Mick or air like Owen, just use Black Wax, a specially clinically formulated wax which is 7,000,000,000 times sticker than clear wax.
I reckon kooks and Mick wannabe's would buy the crap for $60 for 90g. Once the word gets out about how good black wax is, we could come up with the new line from Rip Curl which would be The Black line, things like black sunscreen and Chong's black board would be added to the collection.

seen a sick rusty board on my travels in bali, it had a black carbon fibre layer on it. it was black and looked awsome. mind u 2 grand us. that would solve ur problem for good.
