Agree with you on that Burleigh. Maybe not so much on his ideologies. At least he had the courage in his convictions unlike his pasty faced hero.

Kirk was respectful against people that held the same beliefs as him..tossed a softball question that would allow him to spread his bs and it was respects all the way. Read a few people mention he was carrying on the Athenian tradition, meaning the ancient Greek art of public discourse, but aside from the public square there's zero overlap between CK and Socrates et al. They asked question, Kirk is/was a fundamentalist who never questioned the limits of his own knowledge.
