It may come as a shock to some but prior to his untimely demise, this ageing septuagenarian had never heard of Charlie Kirk. He was mourned by many as a fine example of humanity and the Christian ethic, so I spent some time reviewing what he had to say.

What I saw was largely in complete contrast: racist, misogynist, bigot and a demeaner of those he perceived as inferior, would be a more accurate assessment. What does surprise me is that it took this long for someone to send him to his god.

Many a devious individual has hidden behind the convenient veil of Christianity and all its virtues. His widow, a stout avowed Christian as well (apparently), spoke with an anger seldom seen in the bereaved. Speaking behind a lectern emblazoned with the words: “May Charlie be received into the merciful arms of Jesus our loving Saviour”, she stated: “You have no idea of the fire you have ignited…..the cries of this widow will echo around the world like a battlecry”. Looks like those fine Christian ethics of love thy neighbour and forgiveness have been well and truly abandoned in the quest for revenge and retribution.

In the grief following his passing, emotion came to fore, unashamedly. I saw several Sky News videos entitled:” Sky News host in tears over Charlie”: I didn’t watch. However, I did take the time to watch some of Erin Molan’s tribute: this was a performance worthy of an Academy Award, Golden Globe, BAFTA and you can throw in a Gold Logie as well. As the adage goes: “if you can fake sincerity, you’ve got it made”.

In the turmoil following, while Trump and Musk were winding everyone up and every RWNJ Youtuber was pictured with a gun, Bernie Sanders was one of the few who spoke in a calm, sensible manner: judging by the continued response, most of the CK Fanclub missed it.

@saltydog if this was an episode of Sth Park i'd write it off as over the top as i'd think they'd have gone too far into fantasy land...but it's actually happening and worse before the eyes of all. I have no comprehension of how deranged, misguided and just purely pig head ignorant people must be to go along with all this, but one common almighty savior denominator seems to be a key factor in their lack of cognition.

And it's not just in the States. There's a big part of the people i know that have succumbed to this brain rot MAGA mushbrain syndrome religous fervour.

Which got me thinking on a more macro scale. How much has religion, religous extremism more accurately, dumbed down the American population, particularly the bible belt and red states? When God is the answer to everything, has it replaced learning and critical thinking, when you can just answer everything away with 'Jesus said'. Is this the chicken coming home to roost from allowing a population to bathe in their holy bathwater??

The most peculiar question I ponder is how anyone can really be captured by such fundamental salesmanship…
- what is it that CK and the lyin king are protecting exactly ?
…& what is the actual ‘threat’ other than a misconceived idea of not being able to control others according to some absolutist fixed world view ?

The rhetoric is full of blame and idealist fantasy, steeped in illusionary concepts of salvation and deranged empowerment…
It can only appeal to scared and fragile ppl with an inability to actually want to understand - let alone explore - the ever changing moral code of ‘treating others as you would like to be treated’.

Cornerstone teachings of compassion, forgiveness and ‘love thy neighbour’ have been hijacked by true unqualified pilots, they’re just self appointed fanatical mouthpieces of mayhem …spreading nothing but divisive & narcissistic doctrine under the cover of jebus ;)

Attempting to bulldoze others into submission with entitled, racist and bigoted opinions (masked as divinely delivered delicacies) is pure political theatre.

It is in no way freedom of speech, but simply freedom of manipulation in order to generate power and inspire a collective ‘ego’ manufactured through fear. The followers are elite pretenders who truly believe they aren’t responsible for their own inability to appease their personally produced suffering and require an ideology to buffer that insanity …

Anyone promoting CK as a good guy, as a spokesperson for traditional ‘values’ or as a representative of christian teachings are as deluded as anyone still bound to donnies minuscule maga nutsack ;);)
