We are looking for three (3) surfers to make a surf trip to Indian Ocean Indonesia in August - new location, not likely to be anyone surfing, prime season with steady SE monsoon dry season wind and consistent SW swell.

I have added this surfEXPLORE project to my listings on the Waverii platform, access via the link for details - thanks!

shit, yeh @Lanky, I'm keen. I really need to find a way to somehow like the guy if he's gonna hang around.. I don't do dislike. In my experience, everyone's ok once you figure them out. I'd pay $3000 just for that evening around a campfire where he confides, 'Yes, we, I mean I, do enjoy this itinerant lifestyle.. It suits me to a T to always be passing through, and seek cultures that can't read me easily.. I'm on some sort of spectrum, you see, or have BPD.. I've always had trouble forming relationships, can't read social cues at all, don't converse well - apparently I don't discuss, merely announce things in absolutes..' Calhoun smiles self-consciously with moist eyes at the three around the campfire. He takes off his pith helmet, and lays it tenderly next to his blunderbuss, 'except for the odd moment like this, where I let my guard down. Anyway, fellers, I'm turning in. Early start tomorrow.'

the value of Zionism,
Israel's expert handling of humanitarian disasters
how colonisation is Gods will for mankind
Just might be a deal breaker for some (most)

^ exactly

- from the book of calhoun:

"Anytime you need comments or educated, nuanced opinions regarding the demarcation of surfboards in modern Metric units rather than in ye olde Imperial units, why asymmetrical surfboards are superior and should be the norm, as symmetry with surfboards is nothing more than a fashion concession, or need someone to explain the Promise of Zionism, the right of existence for the State of Israel, or any of the policies and actions of the IDF in Gaza or elsewhere, just holla -"

…hmmmmm ;)

All of the above and $3000US once you get your self to the secret location with a 50% deposit to get more than some cryptic mumbo jumbo.
Seems legit.

Well, if any of y'all are ready to put your money where your mouth is, the trip is awaiting committed participants.

I can explain why this area may have avoided any surfers until now as there are well-known spots in the area that have been surfed for yonks. It will all become clear to you once you have made the commitment and forked the USD $1500 deposit and have access to the private Facebook group with ALL the information and plenty of supporting images.

I do profess to be an expert at this kind of thing - that's why I was offered a contract from a Publisher to produce a book, surfEXPLORE: Discovering New Surfing Locations Worldwide.

Would not have happened if I were a mere bullshit merchant, this publisher has been in business long enough to smell a rat if there is one.

Up to you - you can easily spend USD $3000 or more for a surf trip during prime season for Indian Ocean Indonesia and surf with crowds, heavy crowds in the Mentawai Islands, G-Land, Laki Peak, Nemerala, Desert Point and of course Bali - or you can travel to a new location where there are high-quality waves, a left point reef offshore on the SE wind as the main target spot and a righthander on the inside that would likely need a bigger swell plus several beachbreaks in the area we can check on smaller days - all with no one surfing at all.

I don't want to disappoint anyone, but I am not as obnoxious in real life as I am on Swellnet - I keep telling my minions to tone it down a bit with the postings, that some snowflake Australian might take umbrage, but they don't listen -

Let me know with a message to or you can respond to my advert on Waverii

https://waverii.com/listing/indonesia-surf-trip/

Let's do this - all you need is time and money!

Ummm - I don't think I need to point out that Australia is the most colonised land on earth, with the most marginalised native population who were literally targeted for extermination for decades during the British Colonial convict settlement programme - with their children kidnapped and given to white Australians to raise, as their native culture would soon disappear?

Everyone living in Australia today, including native peoples, are a product of this extreme colonisation programme - not to mention the wholesale importation of animals and plants to Australia, to replace the native animals and plants and create an antipodean Britain in the south Pacific

If everything goes well, we should have plenty of material to publish with Swellnet if Stu approves a feature - he can identify the area or not identify the area, it's up to him.

I am not a gatekeeper and never was, secret spots are largely a myth and a hoax.

Ummmm.. no, @john,calhoun, I don't think you need to tell anyone anything about anything. Re: colonising, swellnet wrote a book about it. 1000 pages, in 165 chapters. Many contributers were land owners. Took us 4 years and a lot of heartbreak to nearly complete, still a work in progress, @tbb has volunteered to edit. We are well aware of grey, we do our darndest to avoid and stamp out black and white thinking here in Aus. We like to think we have learned a thing or two. Especially from the USA's past, present a current projected trajectory.

On a note relating to this self-promotion-of-your-business-via-a-website-link thread, @john.calhoun, the trip is an interesting business model, riding on the back of three (3) donkeys while you gather Calhoun IP.. quite clever, hope it works for you. Where you've refused to share any pithy anecdotes to promote your book lest you spill any of the publisher-guarded sweet, sweet gold-juice within, at least you've said this magical mystery tour is to a left point break. Genuinely hope it works well, is fun, and that you learn to take yourself less seriously.

Why is this unpaid commercial promotion on this site? I pay subscription fees. I don’t want ads.
