but I do know the first enrichment phase is the slow bit, and that the 60% to 90% bit apparently only takes weeks

assembling all the pieces without creating three eyed mullah fish is obviously much harder, and time consuming I imagine

I think the reaction of the international community is very telling. ie. just weeks ago a heap of countries, including australia, were unrestrained in their criticism of israel regarding gaza - and rightly so...

this week those very same countries pretty much all fell into line in stating 'Iran must not acquire a nuclear weapons'

now maybe they are all just gimping for trump... but I don't think they are... they have all pretty much maintained this position for ages...

it's just an accepted position, and has been forever really

now most of them clearly have reservations about trump's action, with albo essentially going in to hiding for 36 hours before coming out and actually supporting the action - people are terrified of the possible outcomes - we have all been here before...

but at the end of the day, it's accepted that iran are seeking nuclear weapons, and iran themselves have been forward as to about why...

yeh you can argue other countries halve them so why shouldn't iran seek them?

in an ideal fair world, that's only fair...

but the US and the likes of israel have had them for decades, and shown they will not use them unless their hand is forced (post ww11)

My only point of difference is exactly that, that we see the world from our perspective, the media we're given, the politics we're aligned with, the religion the country is set under, and anything different, is the other. I know you don't think that personally, but i know i'm generalising but that is the groupthink...the way the masses tend to think. It's safer to align and not think outside that box. And i'm in it too to some degree. Should Iran start planting terrorist cells in oz as retaliatory attacks, i'll be the first to jump up and down kicking and screaming of the sheer lunacy.
But that's not my ultimate point. I don't know what it's like to live in a country that is considered lesser to the greatest powers in the world...with a religion that's considered different and in opposition to the greatest powers in the world. I don't know what it's like to feel that my country is at the mercy of the greatest powers in the world and i don't know what it feels like to have lost,,what, a million? of my fellow countrymen in a fairly recent war with a neighbour (insert newzealand for refernce). So my point is, that this country and it's regime are operating from a place none of us understand.
