Are you sure that this is the case regarding Iran totally losing air defence capabilities and Israel's iron dome being effective?
Some commentators are saying things are quite different than that narrative.
I don't have a clue, but footage coming to of Israel appears they are taking some pretty big hits with missiles coming in from Iran.
I'm reminded of Bush proudly exclaiming mission accomplished.

Good on Trump for his swift action in Iran. I wish he was the same with Russia and pushed them out of Ukraine.
Trump going against his own intelligence team and instead listening to his “ gut feeling “ is just plain dumb. If he had any other sources that Iran was building a nuclear bomb then let’s see the evidence and the world might then just thank him . Hi Andy, the wording was a bit muddled after I cut and pasted the paragraph - what I am trying to say is the Iron Dome, like the Iranian AA, has proven to be less than effective. I read stats that it was only getting about 90% of incoming missiles; and conjecture that at some point they will run out of missiles, with 1000+ Iranian missiles left.

If you look at how Israel has responded since Oct 7 attacks, they've gone after one threat at a time, Hamas, then Hezbollah & it's infrastructure - then Syria fell and they took the Golan Heights and got rid of Syrian AA systems which cleared a path for their planes to take on Iran as they are doing. Pre-WW2, 1948, 1967, 1973, invasion of Lebanon - they do it again and again.
