An intimate view of Jaws
On the weekend, while the World Title was being decided at Pipe, a small crew were tackling mid-range Jaws. On its own it wasn't terribly spectacular, but the mob at Xensr Technology paddled out with cameras capturing every angle. The result is some of the wildest footage yet seen of Peahi.

I'm not sure if it's the music, the wide open mouths or the background carnage, but it almost looks like fun.
And here's another glaring example of the downfalls of using a GoPro attached to the front of your board for surfing footage.

It gives no indication or representation of size and looks average IMHO, even Kelly's videos from Pipe don't do it justice.
Yes, POV barrel stuff is epic with Go Pro's but anything else, forget about it.
yep agreed. its strange huh, need to have the option of getting rid of the fisheye lens to get that perspective of depth.

Until he paddles over that set and you see his mate disappear down the face so he's just a spec bottom turning that 15ft monster! Seems to be the only size representation in the clip - you're right tho the rest barely looks overhead through the fisheye.

Some of that footage is pretty rad. Bloke must like the sweet taste of salty water...close ya mouth ya peanut
