The weekend started off slow but a strong cold front pushing up the coast later Saturday bought with it a moderate to large increase in S'ly swell across south swell magnets on the North Coast Sunday morning.
This swell has eased back through today, as building levels of E'ly trade-swell have become more dominant.

Saturday started off slow with a small S'ly swell to 2ft across south facing beaches under a S'ly breeze. A rapid rise in large S'ly windswell was seen during the morning though associated with a strong front pushing up the coast, kicking south facing beaches to 6ft under fresh S/SE winds.

A small reinforcing SW swell kept fun 3-4ft waves hitting the South West today and spiked the swell a little around Gero under offshore winds this morning.

Wednesday's kick in S'ly swell held in at a good 2-3ft across the coast into yesterday with offshore winds. A drop in size occurred into the afternoon, and today building levels of NE windswell are now breaking across the coast.

Wednesday's fun swell eased back quickly overnight, with smaller but still but 1-2ft waves breaking across Clifton yesterday. Today the surf is back to a tiny 0.5-1ft with favourable winds ahead of an onshore change.
