This swell is expected to reach most Northern NSW locations overnight, but may not peak until mid-late morning Tuesday.
So, the currently oversized S/SE swell should persist into Tuesday morning before easing slowly throughout the day.

What I like most about this swell event is that the system responsible for it weakens only slowly through its passage under the continent, which means the backside of the peak - on Friday - will ease only slowly in size.
Sunday’s wind change may bring about more pleasant conditions but the surf potential remains pretty ordinary overall.
Despite the current easing trend in NE windswell, the fetch off the coast is expected to remain at strength overnight and into Saturday morning.
Dyanmic low forming just to our east, generating a strengthening E/SE and then SE groundswell event from Sunday through Tuesday.
