The peak of the coming large swell will be spoilt by local winds.

GFS suggests the inland trough moves Northwards, with a trough spawning a small low east of Tasmania and rapidly deepens o/night into Fri with strong winds to gales developing off the south coast and Bass Strait.

Large swell for next week with a possible follow up.

Not much on the horizon with weak pressure gradients and no tradewinds in the Coral Sea next week, a flat spell is expected.
