Eastern Tasmania Surf Forecast by Craig Brokensha (issued Wednesday 9th November)

Best Days: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday

Recap

No surf with tiny clean conditions.

This week and weekend (Nov 10 - 13)

There's no surf due into the end of the week, but from Saturday our building stormy E/NE swell is still on track with a deepening mid-latitude low expected to project a fetch of strong to gale-force NE tending E/NE winds towards us.

Building surf to 4-5ft later in the day Saturday is due, but with fresh and gusty E/NE winds.

The low will drift a little more south Sunday resulting in the fetch of E'ly gales sitting more in our eastern swell window.

A drop in size back to 3-5ft or so is expected, and winds should improve, swinging back to the NW across the northern half of the coast.

The low will then weaken a touch but continue to aim a fetch of strong E'ly winds through our swell window, keeping open beaches topped up with 3ft+ waves Monday with S/SW Winds.

The low will push east on Tuesday projecting S'ly winds up past is and this should kick up some weak S'ly windswell with southerly winds.

Longer term some fun S'ly swell may continue into Wednesday, but we'll have a closer look at this and the weekend's swell on Friday.
