This weekend and next week (Aug11 -Aug 25)

Central QLD: Easing swells this week, more surf on the radar

High pressure near New Zealand is moving east and the fetch in the Coral Sea which supplied fun waves over the weekend is now easing with easing surf expected short term. Fun waves Tues slowly easing through Wed, becoming small but remaining rideable through Thurs and Fri.

Good news though for next week with another powerful high expected to move through the Bight and set up a strong ridge up the QLD coast and deep E’ly-SE’ly flow through the Coral Sea.

We should see another round of really fun waves develop either Tues or into Wed next week and last a few days.

Check back Wed for the latest.
