Cronulla's Caleb 'Herb' McLean hooks into a recently pioneered reef during last Friday's big south swell. The wave is much heavier than it looks from the photos and has one of the most dangerous inside sections going. If you don't make the channel it's short odds that you'll end up on the rocks.

Herb rolled the dice one too many times during this session and lost a tow board to the boulders. Fortunately he got out unscathed.
