Sydney and the east coast are just coming out of four days of heavy rain and it certainly wasn't the kind that Fred and Ginger would do a merry jig too. No, this was the kind of rain that Travis Bickle prophecised.

Roads flooded, gutters and tanks overflowed, and all the scum of the streets headed for the ocean. There it met four to six foot of nor-east swell. If your local likes it from that direction, and you don't mind the odd spot of woofy water, then you had plenty of reason to sing.
