Last Tuesday Shipstern Bluff broke for the first time in months with a mixed crew of Tassie natives and mainland daytrippers making the journey across the bay. Tassie photog on-the-rise, Nigel Eberhardt, was also there, snapping away in the channel as the morning eight footers rose to fifteen feet monsters after lunch.

I hope you enjoy these photos by Nigel as they may be the last we see for a while. After the session his tripod blew over with his gear attached. Those sort of accidents are never pretty...
