Kelly Slater's Bells Oop

Today Stab.com ran a short interview with Slater and questioned him about the move: was it the biggest Alley Oop he's ever pulled? "I did one at Bells" he said, "in the expression session that I haven't seen on video, but it felt just as high and I landed cleaner." This is the sequence of that move.

Papua Part 2

It's amazing to think that a surfing destination like PNG still exists. Last but not least the best surf charter boat (www.pngsurfaris.com) and crew that I’ve seen operating. With some awesome waves, Dogga, Benny, Harry, Doya, Danga, Tedi, Mocca, Crocket and I had a blast.

Papua Part 1

During the new year break Victorian shooter, Steve Arklay, headed north to Papua New Guinea on a surf trip. All of the exposed reefs fired. This is the first series of photos from Steve's trip.

The Hook Up

The water photographer hook up... Unless the wave is a compact and predictable reef hooking up with a well-ridden barrel is one of the hardest things a photographer can do. For his part, Darren does his best to stay concentrated on the job at hand, knowing all the while that Steve has hooked him up on a screamer. Sequence by Steven Arklay.//STUART NETTLE
