Mark Halliday

All in a week's work

Earlier this winter the East Coast enjoyed a week long run of swell that sparked up reefs from Eden to Byron. Mark Halliday made the most of the spell clocking up the highway miles and shooting more perfect waves in seven days than many would surf in a year. Starting in his Eastern Suburbs backyard (first photos), Mark shot an array of waves in Sydney and the NSW South Coast.

If you wanna ride shotgun next swell you can contact Mark here, and if he's not home just admire his many photos.

Filling the Gap

Taking a year off after school to see the world used to be such a questionable activity. One that would require vigourous justification before doubtful parents. Now it's called a 'gap year' and is positively encouraged.

Mark Halliday recently took advantage of changing societal norms and choofed off to Sumatra and the Mentawais for a while.
