Sydney Transit

As I type many of the world's best surfers are winging their way toward Fiji. Parko, Mick, Slater, Dorian,  Anthony Walsh, Mick Freeman (who?). All of them chasing a south swell that formed in the Southern Ocean late last week.

Ronny 'Skull' Hill drops the throttle during a motorised surf session at North Cronulla yesterday. With the advent of motorised surfboards and their movement into the marketplace, will this become a more regular sight on our beaches?

Progress, eh?

Lunch hour at Cronulla

If you're on the East Coast and near a south swell magnet today you might've seen some energy arise out of an otherwise listless sea. For two hours a long range south swell broke under W/NW winds with few takers. Down at Cronulla Matt Griggs was Johnny-on-the-spot (as always), and Grant Muir and Rojet blitzed their :PCC mini-Simmons while the swell lasted.
