Talking point: As defending world champ do you reckon Italo Ferreira liked that season 2020 was cancelled?
On the one hand, it allows him to bask in the light of his achievement for a bit longer, and he can say with only a small degree of distortion that he was world champion for 2019 and 2020, while on the other hand the competitive bastard within prolly wants to get out and strut.
At any rate, it's good to see the champ looking deadly sharp surfing around Rio and Saquarema.
Quick tip: Unless you're in lockdown or can speak Portuguese you probably want to FF through some sections.

He is the perfect shape about 5'6" and 90 kilo of muscle. Could be an acrobat in another life. I need one of those jet skis for down here when it gets big otherwise you don't surf. Long ride through the heads and back though. Looked a lot like the MP at size, big, meaty and all over the place.

anyone planning a surf trip to Brazil?? Not the most blessed of coastlines.... mostly random beach breaks. I think they have one true point on their whole coast.
A mate of mine was 'stranded' there during Covid lockdown in March, April May. In a little beachside town near Florianopolis in a house right on the beach. He sent me a lot of photos of clean, well shaped 2-4ft surf with mostly fuck all crew out.
Reckons he'd go back for sure.
