Just a head up that parking charges resume again this weekend for Point Leo Foreshore.
As most of you know we are a 50ha self funded public reserve, we rely on parking and camping income to pay for the upkeep and maintenance 8 toilets, 5 bbqs, 2 playgrounds, 6klm road network, 20 ha of public parklands that we mow, plus the $100000 worth of rubbish removal, $60000 in insurance and $10000 in toilet paper each year, and to pay the wages of the 11 local people we employ.
The cost this year is $5 for all day parking, or if you think you will be a regular, buy a season pass sticker for $50 or a season pass transferable that you can swap between cars for $55.
If anyone has any concerns with this please do not take it out on the kids that collect the fees, please shoot me an email to [email protected] with your name and phone number and I will give you a call once I am in the office.
