Plankton Productivity Plunge

What do we all think of this one? Recent report, Newfoundland area, persistent drop in plankton in the area. Increased melt run off? Changing wind patterns? Increased cosmic rays? AGW? Is this happening in all the oceans?

I think you have your answer judging by the response VJ.
And to quote a line from the link .. " It's a difficult idea to convey to the average person who might not understand the ocean ecosystem , but Pepin likens it it to walking into a grocery store and instead of seeing the shelves full, they're only half full"
The ocean is a fucking big place , and I think Pierre needs to take his probably prematurely balding scalp , and his less than salt encrusted big toe out of it.
