I reckon the Working Dog boys called the shots in the industry for quite a while, the new wave of pro comedy production.. remember when they had to fight to have Harry Shearer on Frontline.. indignant Tommy G and Santo saying:
"we were instrumental in making the rules for pushing Australian actors and Australian content! Then we had to fight to use the guy who plays Burns and Skinner on the Simpsons who happened to be in town for crying out loud. Parodies and satire don't usually break copyright laws if they meet some pretty standard criteria.
