any budding young coverbands out there, these three songs would medley like a dream

Bringing back the covers theme, something that shouldn't work but just does.
Amazing what shows up in your Spotify steam.
From the bands bio:
"Bobby Ramone is just that, what resulted from a group of drunken friends who decided to record and produce an album playing Ramones while sampling Bob Marley."

Glad you liked that Stu, it tickled me fancy.
One more from me, in and of the moment. A cover, also covered by the Ramones and Brian Wilson at different stages.

Rip out the Sink & freak beat that fucker...then bury it deep in the lagoon.
Less that knew what ya did to that Ramones cover last summer the better!
Would sound a little like this...and expire after [30 views] if yer lucky!

Didn't know about this album, beautiful!

20 years ago, eh? The chief scientist at work had this album going a lot and I'd been out in the field really remote and all the GPS went offline as it was being used for More Important Things. Album captured the spirit of the time:

Another song off the album, 'Holiday', is in the set list for my son's backyard band. Means I hear it a lot and it never fails to conjure that weird detached reality when America was outwardly triumphant while everyone knew they were losing money, losing morale, losing the wars.
So it's an eerie nostalgia when I hear my kids play it on the eve of another Middle East adventure.

^ yep

Looking forward to listening to more Domini.. cheers @Patrick,

David Essex : Rock On (Ultimate Smooth Pop Star's groovy hip knock 'em dead track!)
All agree a real sleeper Cool Track that flies under the radar...hardly ever get's the nod...but it's shit hot!
Later on...1993 This gentrified Pin Up Pop Star released a (Covers LP) reaching #3 [ Cover Shot ]
David recorded on his own Lamplight Records > Distributed by Universal.
(Now uses his Grandson's Label Name...that's an insane Pop Star Tax Dodge...so cool!)
Side 2 Track 1 America : Horse with No Name (Appears on LP / CD / Cassette)
But wot the fuck is going on here...this is the worst most vile piss take in Pop History...makes ya spew!
Ben's Tunesmiths : Likely his Manager / Universal ticked off the Licence as he's a big Star...etc...but...
tbb had read that America signed with Indy Rhino Records 'bout that time > he copped a cold shoulder!
Left David with a dilemma / America's : Horse with No Name > Track still opening side 2...(Wot to Do?)
Thinking it was cheaper to re mix 50% of Master Track than a total Side 2 redo to void the copyright.
So instead of risking his or blowing America's cred they defaulted to David's flip / carnival caper!
Thereby few fans raise an eyebrow...as David has played the Carny / Clown Act in Film / Stage / Song.
First clue here on an old blog...raising that his timing was all out...not what you'd expect for a big star!
So David's 'Live' fans were hunting this track down but were expecting a solid take on the classic...
https://www.cookdandbombd.co.uk/forums/index.php?topic=12750.0
Almost gave up on this..was there ever a Quality recording of Horse with No Name
Possibly the studio released a bootleg for Fan Club on Flexi Disc as they did back in the day! No idea!
But no legit copy would be labelled...
At last minute, thought to check a credible back up link on [2nd Hand Songs]
Thought if this Credible unit links the same Vid then it's a legit crude piss take...
Ok! Check & Which they did...(But!) This YouTube [LP] Framed Link...has more comments!
Scroll thru the comments seeking any itsy bitsy weird explanation...why bother tbb...wait up...Bingo!
David Essex backs up Ben's Tunesmith's best guess...we got this (Ask...how did tbb know to sort this! )
Just sharing tbb knew nothing of this until 1 hour ago! Was not on tbb's radar as a thing > nor Rock On!
Ben's Tunesmiths sussed & hunted down + exposed Mr Nice Guy's punk piss-take!
(Pause!) This is not boring in the least...well worth the dumpster dive for David's Rock on Version...
Noting tbb has tracked many Rips being exposed in this 2005-2007 come clean era...
Some poor bastard posts the Vid & cops a hiding ...WTF Loser > Stop fuckin' with the classics!
Enough! Stop trolling the poor bastard...Only then do Old school come clean on their dodgy scheme!
Cop a dose of David Essex Porn Hub recording > Gonna need a Bigger 4 Corners Unit...scream louder!
Hi Guys! David Here...been getting lots of emails about this song (No kidding...Davy!)
Yeah! Got the shits with the Band America & their fuck'd up Label > Trying to get rights to the song...
So David hog tied & cattle prodded his screaming wife in his Lounge Room & neighbours called the cops.
A few Pints of Guinness + 2 day old Hot Summer Egg Masala is the Explosive Diarrhoea [3:15] Nice!
Hands up who else hears Bowie in on the joke...C'mon crew...best kept secrets...exclusive to here & now!
tbb is claiming more than a few Rock Stars are in on David's Piss Fart Lounge Room Orgy!
This was a Copyright Protest of Sorts...reckon there is a bigger background story exposed here!
LP reached #3 & industry reps were choking on their cereal...WTF is this shit.
David tried to make amends with the band America but they refuse to speak with him...That's Punk!
The shit us nice guys gotta put up with from you little people...outta my way...(So sorry David!)
Love your version better...just don't beat us Master! Rock on! Yep! Whateva Dude! Fark me...run faster!
&t=67s

Not the same song
Alright, time for some discussion on what yr all listening too. My iTunes inventory is getting a little stale so I'm up for some inspiration.
Currently loving The Drones' album "Havilah".. incredible songwriting and some of the best recorded guitars and drum I've heard in a long time. I'm a little late to the party with this album but it's on high rotation at the moment and will probably stay there a while. I've seen these guys live once (Fowlers, Adelaide) and fortunately they're incredible on stage too. Can't wait to see them again.
