Best Days: Sunday morning at north-east swell magnets

Recap

No surf yesterday or today with tiny conditions on the coast.

Today’s Forecaster Notes are brought to you by Rip Curl

This weekend and next week (Jan 6 - 12)

Over the weekend we look towards our N/NE windswell event, and as per Wednesday we're still due to see the swell generating fetch push away from us Saturday evening which isn't ideal.

We'll see increasing N/NE winds and building levels of swell through tomorrow, reaching 2ft+ by dark, fading from a small 2ft Sunday morning across north-east magnets.

Conditions should be clean through the morning with a W/SW offshore, giving into afternoon NE sea breezes again.

Come Monday there isn't expected to be any size left and with NW winds.

There's still nothing due for the middle of next week, but come Friday we're likely to see a bit more energy out of the N/NE as an approaching front from the west squeezes a strong high in the Tasman Sea.

We'll hopefully see surf in the 4ft range, but more on this Monday. Have a great weekend!
