Our primary swell generating system right now is a broad ridge through the Northern Tasman Sea. It’s expected to weaken very slowly over the coming days, and in doing so will bring about a gradual drop in surf size through the middle to latter part of the week.
Onshore winds with a mix of easing NE swell and building E/SE swell over the coming days, cleanest from late week.
Tiny onshore waves tomorrow, new swell for Wednesday afternoon with onshore winds, hopefully cleaner and easing Thursday.
Clean fun waves tomorrow morning, becoming dicey Wednesday with a new S/SW swell, average through until later Friday with a strong increase in new SW swell, peaking Saturday. Larger developments from Sunday.
A broad inland trough across the eastern states is slowly shifting eastwards. It’s freshening NE winds about the Southern NSW coast but ultimately won’t generate much quality surf over the next few days, owing to a lack of strength in the surface wind field.
Clean easing waves across the Mid Coast tomorrow, tiny Wednesday with chunky but poor levels of S/SE windswell building down South. Cleaner Friday and into the weekend. Strong storm activity developing into next week.
Poor E/SE to SE winds all this week with a mix of swells. Cleaner weekend with some new SW swells and then some proper storm activity next week.
