Even though there are still strong sets showing across Sydney beaches this afternoon, I’m going to pare down my expectations for Tuesda
Clean most of tomorrow with an easing W/SW swell, tiny Wednesday. Tiny new W/SW swell Thursday with N/NE winds, and then better activity next week.
Poor conditions over the coming days with a weak building W/SW swell tomorrow, SW swell Wednesday, peaking out of the S/SW Thursday morning and cleanest around Perth and Mandurah. Large SW groundswell for Sunday, with a possible follow up Monday though with deteriorating winds.
Easing mix of swells tomorrow with all day offshore winds tomorrow, smaller and still clean Wednesday. Stormy building W/SW swell Thursday with a larger groundswell for Friday, cleanest in protected spots down South.
Good easing mix of W/SW and SW swell over the coming days with great winds for both locations tomorrow, more N'th Wednesday. New W'ly swell for Friday with favourable winds for the Surf Coast, easing into Saturday.
The current southerly change is interacting with a trough well south of New Caledonia, and is expected to broaden and deepen a low pressure system west of Auckland tonight, with a wide fetch of southerly gales on its western flank.
There’s been an upgrade in strength and a forward time-shift with regards to the developing low pressure system in the north-eastern Tasman Sea.
No real notable swells this coming period. Maybe surf next weekend?
