In Monday’s notes I mentioned a potential slingshot through the Tasman Sea that could deliver a slightly better pulse of swell for the outer SE Qld points this weekend. It’s still showing up in the models though has been slightly delayed.
We’ve got two completely different days ahead to finish the week.
Small to moderate S'ly swell for Friday with OK winds, variable late and then clean but small and fading Saturday. Better developments later next week.
New inconsistent W/SW groundswell tomorrow with morning offshore winds. Secondary SW swell Friday with possible early W/NW winds, tiny until mid-next week.
Average conditions to end the week, with a large swell developing over the weekend but with onshore winds across the South West. A touch cleaner but smaller Monday, with a good S/SW groundswell for Tuesday/Wednesday with E/NE winds.
Strong SW groundswell tomorrow but with an onshore change at dawn, cleaner with some mid-period energy Friday, great Saturday. Windy and small Sunday with a mix of W/SW groundswell and stormy W/SW swell Monday along with strong W/SW winds.
Good new SW groundswell tomorrow with offshore winds across the Surf Coast most of the day. Reinforcing but weaker swell Friday with variable winds, cleaner and smaller over the weekend. Inconsistent W/SW groundswell for Monday.
Small inconsistent background swells over the coming week, better Friday with a new inconsistent SW groundswell, then S'ly swell Tuesday next week.
Small inconsistent background swells over the coming week (a bit stronger later Friday and Saturday), with some much better S/SW swell early next week.
On Wednesday, this south swell will fade but it’ll be replaced from mid-late morning onwards (mid afternoon across the Far North) by a new long period S’ly swell generated by a polar low traversing below the continent yesterday.
