Southern Tasmania Surf Forecast by Craig Brokensha (issued Wednesday 6th November)

Best Days: Possibly tomorrow morning, Saturday morning

Recap

No change to the surf with micro waves continuing across the South Arm.

This week and weekend (Nov 7 - 10)

Tomorrow morning will start tiny, but a very inconsistent W/SW groundswell may be seen later in the day, offering 1-2ft sets if we're lucky as a morning N/NW offshore shifts stronger W/SW. This will create poor conditions.

Friday morning looks to see easing 1-2ft sets, mixed in with a small windswell from the front moving through tomorrow afternoon. A morning W/NW breeze will create clean conditions ahead of a S/SW change.

We're now looking at a fun pulse of S'ly swell for Saturday morning that's worth making the most of looking at the rest of the period.

This will be produced by a fetch of strong S'ly winds projecting from the polar shelf up towards us tomorrow and Friday, with the swell due to peak Saturday around 2ft or so, if not for the rare slightly bigger one.

Conditions will be clean in the morning with a W/NW breeze, shifting W/SW through the day.

A weak front is forecast to push up and into us Saturday evening and Sunday, producing a small mid-period SW swell to 2ft or so Sunday but with dicey and likely onshore winds.

Following this there's nothing significant until possibly mid-next week, but more on this Friday.
