The resulting high pressure ridge is leading to deep onshore flows and a trough along the coast is expected to move offshore Sun and form a broad trough of low pressure early next week.
The South Coast will offer the best waves with morning light winds and S'ly swell pulses. A small west swell is due early next week.

We've got long-period S/SW groundswell pulses due over the coming days as winds persist from the eastern quadrant.

As the SE surge takes hold we’ll see a further increase in swell, possibly not until Wed now with fun surf extending right into the weekend.
In fact, it becomes reinforced by a new high and this peanut high straddling Tasmania will set up a right of S’ly winds which will tend E’ly later in the week as high pressure moves to the E of the Island. Some polar low activity will supply some small S groundswell pulses this week.
