A new, inconsistent S/SW groundswell tomorrow morning will be bet with tricky winds. The Mid Coast should offer small, fun waves early next week.
High pressure is slowly advancing over Tasmania bringing settled conditions and light winds. No great change to the weekend f/cast. Todays S swell levels off a notch through Sat.
We’ll see some long period S swell filter into NENSW across Sat a’noon at S facing beaches, holding through Sun.
Mixed in with that will be a nice little boost in E-E/SE swell from fetches on the NZ side of the Tasman, holding into Sun, likely even increasing a notch from a broad fetch of winds infeeding into the developing low pressure trough.
A good S/SW groundswell will come in with average winds tomorrow, with next week looking mostly average.
Tomorrow morning will be fun, as will be Saturday, though the largest day, Friday looks tricky.
We've got a funkier forecast of winds and swell for the period but there should be windows of good waves in between bad days.
The resulting high pressure ridge is leading to deep onshore flows and a constant steady state fetch in the Coral Sea which is producing fun waves across CQ this week.
