Fun weekend of surf ahead
We've got generally clean conditions for 3/4 of the weekend with some fun swell. Next week is larger but with dicey winds.

As mentioned on Wed the weekend’s front forms a low which looks to stall in the central/eastern Tasman Sun/Mon, and possibly linger near the South Island after that. The fetch now, isn’t quite so well aimed back at the East Coast but we’re still on track for a nice pulse of S-S/SE swell.
Both coasts are offering fun surf today, with the weekend being best down South tomorrow morning.
We've got some good energy due from Sunday through early next week but a trough will bring less than ideal winds.
Slowly easing surf ahead of a large swell mid-late next week.
Tiny beginners waves for the coming days with building surf into the weekend as winds deteriorate.
High pressure (1031hPa) is slowly but surely moving into the Tasman in a NE direction pushing a decaying tradewind flow further north and leading to easing surf across CQ after a great run of waves.
High pressure (1031hPa) is slowly but surely moving into the Tasman in a NE direction, developing a N’ly flow extending from temperate NSW down to Bass Strait through today and tomorrow. The N’ly flow will be punctuated tomorrow by a cold front which brings W -SW’ly winds to the region and a small amount of S swell. A stronger frontal system now looks likely to be a bit delayed but stall nicely in the Eastern Tasman early next week and supply some useful E/SE swell.

We've got cleaner conditions and fun sized swells for the coming days and weekend.
