The high is generating E’ly tradewinds in the Coral Sea with a fun sized surf running across CQ and expected to last into the weekend.
The low sweeps to the south this weekend while the trough buds off and forms a trough of low pressure off the NSW Central/South coast, bringing weather, onshore winds and large E’ly swells.
With the low near Bass Strait we should have an offshore outflow across most of the region- so offshore winds all day. A fun blend of S-S/SE and E/NE swells will be on hand.
The current swell will ease tomorrow as winds strengthen from the north-western quadrant, large and stormy Friday.
Under current modelling, by first light Sat morning a trough of low pressure will be deepening due east of the Illawarra.
Make the most of the slow swell and strengthening offshore winds today and tomorrow, as well as a good pulse of energy late week.
Westerly winds continue to impact the Maldives, with plenty of large surf to come for all locations.
