You all know the background by now: powerful East Coast Low, strong winds, big waves etc etc etc...but what about the surf? The rideable stuff? Well, there weren't that many places handling the swell yesterday so the range is a bit limited. This stretch on Sydney's Northern Beaches was one of the few places coping with the swell and it put on a fair display throughout the day.

Craig Brokensha, Swellnet's full-time forecaster and part-time photographer, took these shots in the afternoon when the swell was on the wane. Stay tuned for the morning session (see Wave of the Day), we'll have that up shortly.
